Buying and selling a business
Franchise OpenBook helps people research franchises and list existing businesses for sale. Listings and financial figures are supplied by sellers. Confirm financial records, included assets, premises, ownership and any franchise transfer conditions before making a decision. Franchise research is general information and can change; confirm current details with the franchisor and disclosure documents.
Your listing
Use your own account, provide accurate information and list only a business you are authorized to sell. Business listings publish directly when the required details and photograph are complete and any required payment is confirmed. We may hide a listing that is misleading, abusive or otherwise unsuitable. Brand-profile access does not follow automatically from creating a business-for-sale listing.
Fees and duration
The first 20 initial listings in each country and category are free for six months. Drafts do not use a free place. Selling or withdrawing a published listing does not return its free place. After the free places are used, a listing costs $49 CAD in Canada or $49 USD in the United States for six months. Manual renewal costs the same for another six months. There is no automatic renewal.
An optional refresh costs $9 CAD or $9 USD and is available no more than once every 20 days on an active listing. It moves the listing up in recently listed/refreshed results in its country/category; it does not extend the expiry date. The displayed fee is the final amount paid. Listing edits and photo changes are included. Mark your listing sold or withdraw it when it should no longer appear in search.
Payments, problems and refund requests
Contact platform@cloudlinesoftware.com about a payment problem, a listing that did not publish or a refund request. Include your listing or order reference. Refund requests are reviewed individually; do not send card details, passwords or sign-in codes.
Get help or report a listing
Contact platform@cloudlinesoftware.com with the listing address and a short description of the problem. The same address handles account access and data requests. We do not broker the sale or verify a seller's financial claims; use your own advisers when needed.
